The regional Archdiocesan Spelling Bee
for the upper school was presided over by Maria Makedon, Director,
Direct Archdiocesan District & Special Projects. The winner, Morgan
Raum, will move on to the final at the Greek Archdiocese.
For Costume Day at the Cathedral School, Friday, October 30th, the
Parents' Association organized an awesome Halloween Party in the big
room
Oxi Day
Parents, teachers and members of the Cathedral community attended the
school's "Oxi Day" Celebration on Wednesday, October 28th. In her
opening, remarks Headmaster Sonia Celestin explained that the day
commemorates Greek Prime Minister Ioannis Metaxas's rejection of
Mussolini's ultimatum to Greece in 1940 and Greece's crucial role in
turning the tides against the Axis Powers, in the World War II.
